Ridgetop Savanna

This planting was done in coordination with Landmatters, who designed and installed the naturalistic hardscape. The plant selection here was inspired by remnant prairie communities of the dry ridgetops surrounding the Des Moines River Valley. A mix of shade and sun allows a variety of plants including Little Bluestem, Leadplant, Rough Blazing Star, Calico Aster, and Purple Milkweed.
